She’s a new addition to our family and keeping us all quite busy training her. But she is an adorable Shih Tzu. At 1.9 pounds when we got her two weeks ago, and only 2.2 now, she’s very loving and way too quick. We still have to watch out to make sure she isn’t under a rocker or our feet.
And does she think she’s a Princess? Oh yes--and working hard on being queen of the house.
The company was fantastic. I made many new friends and look forward to staying connected to them in the future. The presentations fueled my imagination to write, as did the wonderful house we stayed in. My room was cozy and adorable. I felt so at home--there were places all over the house
where
we could
gather in
small
groups or
large, or be
alone to
work. We
had time to
fellowship
with one
another,
learn, relax and be by ourselves to be reminded of Who we write for and why.

Above:
An upstairs gathering place, and here: stairs leading
down to
the
dining room
where the
most
wonderful
meals were
served!
What a
blessed
week! I can
still smell
those yummy aromas drifting up the stairs...
These stories take place in both Eureka Springs and Hot Springs, Arkansas, and there are several train rides included. The cover fits so well!
I’m even more excited that one of the stories, A Love To Cherish, made the Heartsong Reader’s top 10 Historical list for 2009! That is an honor held close to my heart for it comes from readers. I feel blessed.

It’s a new day...snow still on the ground from Christmas Eve, bitter cold and no sun, but it is a day the Lord has made and I will rejoice in it and let the SONlight brighten the day! :)

I’m looking forward to getting back to work on my New York story...a work in progress that I am enjoying immensely! I love this series idea and am eager to get back to writing! What a blessing to be able to get joy from what I feel the Lord has called me to do! I pray I write for His glory always. Happy New Year!

Thankfully, we’d got all our shopping done, my brother came in before it got too bad and with a fire in the fireplace, we were able to enjoy the Christmas Eve snow.
Many weren’t so lucky, however, as contitions turned to a full blizzard. They were in our thoughts and prayers and we hope they managed to have a wonderful Christmas once they were able to get where they were going.
